Here is a demonstration of a prototype 'Ambient Music Board' intended for use in Psychiatric Wards, Care Homes and other settings where accessible instruments may be needed. The design was informed from my experiences working as a Creative Practitioner in mental health units with over 65s and people that had been diagnosed with dementia. The staff and service users contributed to its design. The next stage will be to create a 'mark II' based on their feedback. The project has been part of an NHS pilot scheme delivered by Creative Minds and Everybody Arts. The instrument was built by Sam Mcloughlin.
